The Mitiamo Football & Netball Club has a duty of care to provide a safe, healthy, friendly and inclusive environment for all members of our community. As such, the following policies have been adopted by the club, and all members must comply with these policies. If you have any concerns regarding any incidents or breaches of these policies, please contact any committee member, who will treat your issue seriously.

The following policies must by adhered to by all members, players and supporters. We recommend that you make yourself familiar with them.

 

Child Safety Policy

The Mitiamo Football and Netball Club is a child safe organisation. We are committed to providing an environment where children and young people (under 18 years of age) canfeel safe, have fun and be happy.

The Mitiamo Football & Netball Club understands and accepts it has a duty of care to provide a safe and healthy environment, free of illegal drugs. This policy reflects a commitment by the club to the health, safety and welfare of all its members.

Vilification & Discrimination Policy

The Mitiamo Football & Netball Club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all members of the community, free from any form of Vilification or Discrimination. The club and its members must always adhere to the AFL Victoria Vilification & Discrimination Policy.

Cyber Safety Policy

All members must adhere to the Cybersafety Policy. No electronic communications, social media, etc, are to be used to bully or cause any harm to any other members or non-members. This applies to any official club communications mediums, including the website and Facebook page, as well as any unofficial systems. No member is to create any unofficial social media page without the approval of the club committee. Only committee members may post messages onto the website and Facebook page.

Safe Transport Policy

This policy aims to provide a basis for the responsible use and/or non use of alcohol by the Mitiamo Football & Netball Club and to avoid any incidents as people travel to or from the club and its events.
